~Random Post~

Been so long since I last blog. Been busy doing assignments and going out to have fun. Some pictures to show what I had been doing so far.

Went for McDonald's Charity Concert (Got Joey, AndyLau ,Eason and etc)

Went to Cheung Chao (a ship ride of 1Hr to reach there)

Some dinner trip (aim to try all the good foods before we go back SG)

and of cos I am a part-time fans as well

Don't tell anyone that I am chasing idols in HK and not doing my assignments.

Manage to get a ticket to go watch the red carpet event during 台慶 at TVB.

It has been 3 months since I am in HK and I had travel to most of the places and try out the various things in HK(+chasing idols).

Is week 13 now and I got so many assignments due and not done yet. Have to start doing it quickly and get done with it. Wish me good luck ba.

~Shen Zhen Trip~

Weather getting cold since yesterday (hugging each other to get warm)

It is too crowded everywhere for us to shop. Thus most of our time is spend in this massage center that we can't take photos. The massage there is quite cheap (98 RMB for 2 hours of massage). It is a place for relax, thus you can also do medicure, spa , etc. However, we were quite shocked when we first step into the center, as the moment we step in they lead us inside and ask us to strip off everything and go for a bath(without asking what we want or anything). But it is a pretty cool experience, should try it if you have the chance.

Weather getting cooler everyday. It is even colder than the aircon in my room. For those coming over to HK, do bring more clothes.

Way back to Tung Chung at ard 6pm & the sky is already so dark.

There is Citygate Outlets shopping mall at Tung Chung. It has all the different store outlets. (Can shop there if you want to get cheap branded stuffs)

Travelling around as a student is good as you will get alot of discounts. I love my student card, it is like some super discounts card.

Swatch Plastic Royale 巡迴展揭幕礼@ Festival Walk

Have not been blogging for quite some time. Cos I am still a student & this week is my exam week so have to study for exam & rush for assignment deadline :(.

Anyway, above is a Swatch's event held at the shopping mall just beside my sch, thus I didn't purposely went for the event oh. Enjoy viewing the new watches that Swatch have oh.

~Ocean Park Halloween Bash~

Went for the Halloween Bash at Ocean Park which start at 5pm. The tickets cost $228 HKD, which allow you to enter all the 8 ghost houses and play all the ride you want.

It took us around an hour to queue for 1 ghost house. Thus we only manage to visit 6 out of the 8 ghosts houses.

Safe & sound after all the "scarely" experience.

Thanks to my local friends, Florence and Cherry who brought me to the Ocean Park and allowing me to grab their hand in the ghost houses. :)

~HK National Day~

Today is HK national day and there is a 30 mins firework display at Tsim Sha Tsui. However we can watch it in our common room. Since we are at the 8th floor so we have a very clear view of the firework.

Went Tsuen Wan to explore today. There is alot of shopping malls and shops there.

Anyway, I bought a gift for ben in exchange for my return air ticket back to Singapore.
This is a fish lens for your camera. Can take nice effect pictures with this lens oh. Not cheap ahz. (Ben --> Remember my return air ticket oh)

Our 1st visitor from SG. ~Shi Hui~

So happy to see her. Wanted to bring her to Yau Ma Tei for dinner but we lost our way and ended up at Mong Kok. As it was ard 12 am at night and we are all very hungry, thus we decide to just go to any stall that is still open for our dinner&supper.

After dinner, we went over to her hotel till ard 2am plus. It is the first time we went back our hostel so late at night. Hope she has flight to HK again, so we can bring her to Yau Ma Tei. (promise that we won't be lost this time round)

Anyway I bought a camera today at Mong Kok at Citicall . It was shown as 2380 HKD on the shelf. Then we ask if there any discount price for the camera and they say they can sell it to us at 2080 if we paying in cash. Then Uncle Alvin decide to flaunt his bargaining skills and guess what? Uncles always succeed in their bargaining skill thus the final price I pay for the camera is 2040 HKD. *Thanks Uncle Alvin*

Yes, finally got my own camera le. Can take alotz of pics now with this cool cool camera. Shall take some nice pictures on sunday and show you guys.

The event was on Sat (20 Sep 2008) 3.00pm, which is exactly 1 month after she release her first album.

Before that went for breakfast at one of the 茶餐厅 in the shopping mall

Today is 家好月圓結局篇. Have to wait till Oct for her new show (珠光寶氣) to be aired. It will be a 80 esp series. Everyone must watch oh, it will be very nice.

Space & Art Museum on 19th Sep 08

It is so boring to visit these 2 museum, but we don't have a choice as it was raining on that day. We actually wanted to visit Lantau Island but the weather ask us not to do so. :(

~Up to the peak~

It took us quite long to travel to the peak tram station after looking and following several sign boards.

Wow is 古巨基!! (but too bad is fake).

This is the Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, a wax museum, which is located at the peak tower. In the museum, there are various famous historial and music artises wax figures.

The queue to take the tram down the peak is so long. Never go to the peak during weekend, it is crowded with people.

2 weeks in HK and we had almost travel to most of the famous places in HK. Places of interest left to explore : Disney Land, Ocean Park, Lantau Island and of cos Macau.

My room mate - Susan

She is a final year creative media student in City U. She can take good films and photos. Her dream is to work in the entertainment industry and make movies for all of us in the future. I am so glad to have her as my room mate as she is a nice, friendly and of cos a very pretty gal. With her ard, I can also improve my cantonese as she teaches me many new words everyday.

My enjoyable weekend is over which mean that 1st week of school is over, and the 2nd week is approaching. Will update again when there is interesting events and activities.

~City U HK Tour 08~

Today we went for a tour organised by City U to different famous places in HK : "Wong Tai Sin Temple", "Central", "Pottinger Street (Stone Stairway)", "Mid-Levels Escalator", "Lan Kwai Fong" and etc.... We started the tour at 9am today and it ended at ard 6pm. Pictures will tell more about our wonderful tour today.

Taking a ferry from "Wan Chai" to "Tsim Sha Tsui".

You can reach Tsim Sha Tsui from Wan Chai by taking the MTR as well. Thus there is 2 ways to travel to & fro these 2 places.

To end the day, we had a wonderful dinner at one of the 茶餐厅 in Shek Kip Mei. It cost $29 HKD per set with a free drink each.

Anyway, the whole tour is not for FREE, it caused us $120 HKD per person. However, I think it is worth while, as we get to tour around the different famous places in HK and a lunch as well.

ps. I will try my best to improve my photography skills so I can take nice pictures as well. I might be a pro - camera gal when I am back to SG. Wish me all the best. :)

Overall the hostel is good and there is a cleaner who will cleaned up our washroom once a week, however we need to clean up the bedroom ourselves :(. Till now, my room mate has not arrived thus I am paying the money for double room and living in the double room by myself. *My room is much bigger than Alvin's room but we are paying the same price. lolz*

Today I had my first lesson in City U and it was fun. The lesson is relaxed and all my classmates are friendly, they are very friendly to us and even offer to bring us ard in HK. I am so lucky to meet so many nice people in Hong Kong. Anyway I would like to thank my HK buddy - Joe, he is a very nice buddy who help us up alot during the first few days. Without him, I think me and Alvin will be so lost, he bring us around for good foods, get all the things we need, teach us how to travel ard in HK and most importantly their culture.

First time looking at her so upclose *so excited & nervous*. She is really very pretty and she can sing "live" so well. Her events started at 3pm but I was there at apm mall at Kwun Tong Station at 1pm. When we reach apm mall there is noone at the stage gathering thus we went for our lunch. Guess what.. after the lunch the stage is crowded with all her supporters.

To understand more about HK, we went to the "HK Museum of History" & "HK Science Museum" today at Tsim Sha Tsui. Had our first "instant" noodle lunch there. Our dinner was the HK famous clay pot rice (those that you always saw on HK drama) at Yau Ma Tei. Wow I am stating all the different places in HK. In case you all are unsure about the different places that I mentioned, I will post the HK Map of the MTR System

Anyway this is my HK No: 61573808, so do give me a call only when you really miss me badly, if not I have to pay alot for my phone bill.
